ReceptIcon is a biotech company founded by scientists from the University of Aarhus and the Max-Delbrueck-Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin , two leading institutions of biomedical research in Europe.

ReceptIcon business concept is based in the discovery of receptors in the kidney that are responsible for renal uptake and nephrotoxicity of some of the most commonly used therapeutics worldwide. ReceptIcon fore holds a full IPR protected in-house screening facility for the identification of renal drug targets in vitro and in vivo, and for the development of antagonists to prevent renal uptake and nephrotoxic side effects of established therapeutics.

ReceptIcon is the leading biotech partner of the European Renal Genome Project (EuReGene), a large European consortium of academic research institutions and university hospitals in 9 countries that aims to characterize the molecular basis of diseases of the kidney.
