Chairman, Anders Vedin is an MD, PhD and Professor in Management of Medical Technologies at Chalmers University of Technology. Professor Vedin is the Chairman of a number of companies, including Medivir AB, CLC Ltd (UK), Cellartis AB and Resistentia Pharmaceuticals AB and has previously held positions as both vice president of Astra AB and president of Astra Hässle AB.
Steen Helde Hemmingsen is a senior investment manager with A/S Dansk Erhvervsinvestering (Danish Industry Invest Ltd), a major Danish venture capital company. He has managed lifescience/medico investments since 1995. Prior to this, Mr Hemmingsen was President & CEO of Carlbiotech Ltd for 7 years and before that he worked for 17 years at Novo Industry A/S as R&D and business manager. Mr Hemmingsen graduated as MSc, chemical engineering from the Danish Technical University (DTU) in 1967.
Hans-Henrik Eriksen, is CEO of the private venture fund Vecata A/S, part of the Bagger-Sørensen Group, which he joined in 1997 as CFO. Previously he was Vice President, Accounting and Taxes in Tele Danmark A/S (TDC) for 6 years and before that he worked as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen for 7 years. He has extensive experience in starting up companies as well as mergers and acquisitions. Apart from a number of board positions in the Vecata portfolio Hans-Henrik Eriksen also holds board positions in the Færch Group. Hans-Henrik Eriksen has a Master’s Degree from Aarhus School of Business Economics.
Ulf Tossman is Investment Director of InnovationsKapital, which he joined in August 2005. Previously he was at Carnegie Asset Management for 4 years where he raised and managed a global life science fund, mainly investing in privately held companies. Prior to this he was Executive VP, R&D at Fresenius Kabi. Earlier he gained extensive experience in drug development as Medical Director at Schering Northern Europe and Project Director CNS products at Astra Arcus. With his previous employer he has made 11 investments, and has a broad experience as a board member. He has a PhD in Pharmacology from the Karolinska Institutet.
Palle Schelde is Investment Director of INCUBA Venture which he joined in October 2002. Prior to this he was Director for Sales and Marketing at DNA Technology. Earlier he gained experience in the diagnostic industry as product manager in AH Diagnotics as well as in the pharmaceutical industry from managing products for Organon and Bayer. He has a Msc in molecular biochemistry from the University of Aarhus.
Jørn Enggaard is an Investment Manager with Østjysk. Prior to joining Østjysk Innovation he has 24 years of industrial experience from product development and managerial positions. He has facilitated the start up of several biotech companies and he currently serves as a Board Member of 14 start-up technology companies. He holds a degree in chemical engineering as well as an MBA.
Thomas E. Willnow is a co-founder of ReceptIcon. Since 2000 he has held the position as Professor for Molecular Cardiovascular Research at the Charité, University Hospital in Berlin and head of a research group at the Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine. He is the coordinator of the national program on Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases of the German Ministry of Research and holds positions as lecturer in Biochemistry at the Humbold-University and scientific advisor to several biotech companies. He is a graduate in Biology from the University of Munich , where he also obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry (1992). He worked as a researcher for Boehringer Mannheim GmbH and for several academic research institutions before joining the lab of nobel laureates Joseph Goldstein and Michael Brown at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas for a postdoctorate (1992-1996). In 1996, he moved to the Max-Delbrück-Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin as a junior faculty member.
